Strengthen Utah’s connections in two of Europe’s most influential economies.

Utah businesses are invited to apply for the 2026 governor-led trade mission to Germany and Switzerland, a strategic visit designed to deepen commercial, diplomatic, and institutional ties in one of the world’s most influential economic regions.

Europe is a major partner for Utah’s global growth, and this trade mission will work to advance measurable business outcomes, including pathways for new trade opportunities and investment activity that benefit our state’s economy broadly while helping high-caliber companies open doors.

Germany and Switzerland stand out for their engineering leadership, advanced manufacturing ecosystems, financial services, workforce innovation, and globally recognized R&D environments. This visit will help Utah companies build connections that reflect the strengths and direction of our economy.

Organized by World Trade Center Utah in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity.

Why Germany & Switzerland

The European Union (EU) and its connected markets are essential partners for Utah’s long-term growth. Strengthening ties in Germany and Switzerland expands Utah’s reach in a region that sets global standards for technology, manufacturing, workforce training, and financial systems.

In Germany, the delegation’s visit aligns with Hannover Messe, the world’s leading industrial technology showcase. Automation, robotics, energy systems, and digital manufacturing on display create direct opportunities for Utah companies seeking partners and insights.

Switzerland offers complementary strengths in precision manufacturing, financial services, and innovation ecosystems — along with workforce and apprenticeship models relevant to Utah’s talent goals.
