Utah in India: Building momentum, market by market

Thirteen days. Six cities. One shared goal: deepen Utah’s ties with one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.

Led by World Trade Center Utah, our latest business trip to India brought together leaders from across our economy — from diagnostics and digital health to education and engineered products — to strengthen Utah’s presence in India and forge meaningful partnerships for growth.

The delegation included Senate President J. Stuart Adams, members of the Utah Legislature, and executives from a cross-section of Utah industries:

Higher education partners from the University of Utah and Neumont University added depth to discussions on talent, tech, and research exchange. Together, this group represented the diversity and drive of Utah’s global business community.

Where opportunity met action

In Mumbai, delegates tackled India’s financial and legal landscape, engaged in a high-level strategy session at the Observer Research Foundation, and held targeted meetings in edtech, manufacturing, and polymers. Pune featured factory tours and business exchanges focused on diagnostics, automotive components, and higher ed collaboration.

In Hyderabad, the spotlight was on healthtech and innovation — including Monere AI’s scalable solutions presented directly to Telangana’s minister of commerce. Goa brought a social impact lens, highlighting Utah-developed technologies in public health. In New Delhi and Bengaluru, the delegation advanced national-level dialogue on supply chains, venture capital, and long-term cooperation — including a meeting with the Union Minister of Commerce.

What comes next

Across every stop, one theme kept rising: relationships matter. This visit wasn’t about one-off introductions — it was about trust, continuity, and creating real pathways for collaboration that benefit companies in our state and partners across India.

Follow-ups are already underway, and several partners are planning visits to Utah in 2026.

For Utah businesses looking to grow globally, the groundwork is in place. Contact us David Carlebach to learn more.
