Utah’s life sciences sector was well represented at BIO International 2025 in Boston — the world’s largest biotech conference, drawing more than 20,000 participants from across the globe.
BioUtah and its coalition partners hosted a busy Utah pavilion, promoting the state’s fast-growing life sciences industry, recruiting new business to the state, and connecting capital with the next generation of Utah-born breakthroughs. The delegation included BioUtah, the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO), The Point Utah, Salt Lake City Department of Economic Development, the University of Utah’s Technology Licensing Office, Utah Health Entrepreneurs, Utah Inland Port Authority, Utah Innovation Fund, and World Trade Center Utah.
With more than 1,500 life sciences companies and counting, Utah is a biotech powerhouse. Utah-based companies in attendance included 3Helix, Biolexis Therapeutics, Clene Nanomedicine, Curza, DiscGenics, Halia Therapeutics, Rebel Medicine, Renew Biotechnologies, Sethera, and many more. They joined networking events, visited the pavilion, and used it as a hub for meetings and connections — exploring new opportunities for partnerships, investment, and global growth.
