Following the 2023 Paris Air Show, WTC Utah led 47G, HyPerComp Engineering Inc., and Malmrose Heli Services to Marseille. In meetings arranged by Provence Promotion, the group toured several key facilities and established valuable business connections.

Marseille is the founding city of global trade in the Mediterranean, the second largest metropolis in France, the #1 manufacturer of civil helicopters, and the #2 French center for microelectronics. The city is known as a main global maritime hub, is the only city in Europe directly connected to four continents, and also thrives in the areas of IT and digital economy.

The city boasts four main industrial platforms: coating platforms, metal forming and assembly/additive manufacturing, physical-chemical characterization, and AI.

To make this a lucrative trip for Utah innovators, Utah’s delegates visited the following Marseille facilities: Airbus Helicopters, which provides versatile helicopter solutions and products for demanding environments; TEAM Henri Fabre Technocenter, a collaborative industrial initiative that bridges public and private sectors and pools resources to benefit the Provence community; and Safran Aircraft Engines, an engine manufacturer for commercial and military aircraft and satellites.
