For Utah's natural products industry, reliable sourcing starts with the right relationships.

Join World Trade Center Utah, the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA), Greenberg Traurig, and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE) for a Global Gateway event focused on strengthening U.S.-China ingredient supply chains and expanding trade cooperation.

Connect with executives from 17 China-based ingredient companies supplying botanicals, mushroom ingredients, natural astaxanthin, collagen, plant peptides, and more. Explore sourcing opportunities, discuss supplier qualifications, and gain practical insights into the legal and trade considerations shaping cross-border business.

Designed for Utah manufacturers, natural product brands, direct-selling companies, and industry partners, this session brings suppliers and purchasers together to explore partnerships that support long-term supply chain reliability.

What you'll gain

Meet potential suppliers: Connect with ingredient manufacturers, discuss sourcing needs, and learn about their production and technical capabilities.

Strengthen supply-chain reliability: Explore supplier qualification, documentation, testing, and traceability requirements for U.S. purchasers.

Navigate cross-border trade: Hear from Justin Prochnow, shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, on legal considerations for international sourcing.

Explore cost-management tools: Learn how U.S. foreign-trade zones can help companies manage duties, improve cash flow, and support manufacturing and re-export.

Build industry relationships: Continue conversations with visiting executives and fellow industry leaders over lunch.

Advancing U.S.-China trade cooperation

UNPA and CCCMHPIE are developing the U.S.-China Dietary Supplement and Food Ingredient Supply Chain and Trade Cooperation Initiative to strengthen supply chains supporting U.S. manufacturing and create a foundation for more reciprocal trade.

The first phase focuses on China-origin ingredients entering the United States, with an emphasis on supplier relationships, documentation, testing, and traceability aligned with U.S. purchaser requirements.

Insights from this work will help inform a second phase focused on exporting U.S.-manufactured finished products to China.
