Making space for Japan-Utah collaborations 🛰️
A delegation from Japan, including representatives from more than 20 companies, connected with Utah aerospace and defense companies around opportunities in satellite technology, advanced air mobility, and the growing space economy.
Leaders from JETRO, JAXA, and Japan Space Systems joined Consul General Hiroyuki Okajima and the broader delegation for the conversation.
The delegation also attended the 40th annual Small Satellite Conference, which focused this year on the technologies driving constellation success and the future of small satellites. Companies from Japan showcased their capabilities, explored emerging technologies, and connected with potential partners and investors.
Japan is expanding its space economy, and Utah’s aerospace and defense sector continues to grow. Bringing these two markets together creates new possibilities for business partnerships, investment, and technology collaboration.
