Fresh diplomatic leadership meets a relationship already in motion
Utah and New Zealand closed out 2025 with momentum, from high-energy engagements in Auckland to clear alignment across innovation, clean energy, aerospace, and dual-use tech. As 2026 gets underway, Ambassador Chris Seed, New Zealand’s newest representative in Washington, D.C., and Consul General Katja Ackerley are coming to Utah to continue that progress.
This marks Ambassador Seed’s first diplomatic visit in his new role, creating an early opportunity for Utah companies to understand how he plans to approach partnership in 2026.
Their visit offers Utah companies a clear look at how New Zealand is approaching partnership this year and where the strongest commercial openings may emerge.
This luncheon offers a practical insight, thoughtful conversation, and a sharper understanding of how our regions can build together.
