Salt Lake City transfers Foreign-Trade Zone #30 to WTC Utah to expand access to a key trade tool for Utah companies statewide.

When Salt Lake City and World Trade Center Utah officials began negotiating an authority transfer of the city's foreign-trade zone almost two years ago, nobody knew how important it would be by the time the deal was finalized.

Salt Lake City had acted as grantee authority since 1977. Now, World Trade Center Utah is taking over with new, ambitious plans for the federal program.
