WTC Utah was founded in 2006 to elevate Utah’s global status and international engagement. Our goal is to help Utah companies increase revenue and create jobs by expanding international sales, attracting foreign investment, and facilitating international partnerships.

  • 1968

    World Trade Centers Association is founded.

  • 2006

    WTC Utah is founded under Jon Huntsman’s governorship to lift exports and lure foreign investments to Utah.

  • 2007

    WTC Utah organizes its first governor-led trade missions to Canada and India.

  • 2012

    The tower at 60 E South Temple is renamed World Trade Center at City Creek.

  • 2014

    Derek Miller joins WTC Utah as President and CEO.

  • 2017

    WTC Utah is named administrator of the SBA STEP Grant for Utah businesses.

  • 2018

    Miles Hansen joins WTC Utah as President and CEO.

  • 2020

    WTC Utah doubled its SBA STEP Grant award and helped more than 100 Utah businesses.

  • 2021

    WTC Utah welcomes Jon Huntsman as board chair and opens an office at UVU.

  • 2022

    WTC Utah garners over $150 million in new trade opportunities for Utah companies.

  • 2023

    Jonathan Freedman joins WTC Utah as President and CEO.
