GOED Inviting Utah Tech Companies attending CES to meet with High Tech Delegation from Middle East

GOED is working with the U.S. Arab Chamber of Commerce to invite you to a special evening event in Las Vegas on January 8 or 9, 2013, for Utah IT and software companies. This event takes place during the Consumer Electronics Show, but is not affiliated with CES.

Utah is the only state in the U.S. to be offered the opportunity to bring a delegation of its finest IT/software companies to present to an annual delegation of Arab CEOs and C-3 level executives interested in partnering with American businesses to find high tech solutions for their sector-specific needs. The delegation comes to the U.S. through the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC). This annual "Road Show" is called the High Tech Road Show (HTRS) and brings 35-65 delegates to three cities in the U.S.: Las Vegas (for the Consumer Electronics Show), Silicon Valley (to meet with large high tech companies), and one other city that rotates each year. This year, the 6th year for the HTRS, they will also visit Los Angeles.

The evening reception offers two goals:

  1. Inform the delegation about Utah's Silicon Slopes, and the many business opportunities available for international partnerships, with the long-term goal of bringing the High Tech Road Show to Utah in 2014.
  2. Offer Utah companies an extremely inexpensive option to be in the room and network with over three dozen decision makers from almost 10 Arab countries. While Utah companies interested in "having the floor" to spotlight their company and its services can do so as an official HTRS sponsor for a fee of $2,500, payable to the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce, this GOED-led "trade mission" to the CES is available to you for a very nominal cost of $250. Travel and hotel are your responsibility. (For other options in participating in the entire High Tech Road Show, contact me.)

Please RSVP to David Bradford, GOED IT/Software Cluster Director dbradford@utah.gov by the end of this week regarding your interest in attending this MENA event at the CES, and/or Cynthia Douglas from the U.S. Arab Chamber of Commerce at cdouglass@nusacc.org

*Finality of reservations for this event and confirmation of CES passes will be determined by GOED.
