Elizabeth Goryunova named World Trade Center Utah Interim President and CEO

As Lew Cramer leaves his position of President and CEO of The World Trade Center Utah to take on responsibilities of CEO/President of Coldwell Banker Commercial Intermountain, with commercial real estate activities throughout the Intermountain western United States, the World Trade Center Utah Board of Directors appoints Executive VP & COO Elizabeth Goryunova as the Interim President and CEO, while entering into the process of search for a new President and CEO.

“We are excited to work with Elizabeth Goryunova during this transition period"- stated WTC Utah Board of Directors Chair Scott Anderson. We are confident that Elizabeth will serve the organization with a steady and experienced hand as we are steering the organization into the future.”

“I am honored to have been selected for this role,” stated Goryunova. “I look forward to continuing the path, outlined by the outgoing President Lew Cramer, in the months ahead. Mr. Cramer built solid foundation and great partnership network for the organization, and we are here to ensure that the mission of the World Trade Center Utah, to help businesses think, act and succeed globally, continues in perpetuity.”

“Elizabeth is a natural fit as interim president for our organization,” stated WTC Utah President and CEO Lew Cramer. “She has been instrumental in the strategic development of the organization since its inception. Elizabeth comes into this position with two decades of successful career in international business development in academia, industry (electronics manufacturing, finance, marketing consulting) and a non-profit, both in Utah and overseas. She brings expertise enriched by multicultural perspective. In addition to her superb educational credentials, including most recent endeavors of MBA with emphasis on International Finance and Global Leadership PhD program, she has passion and patience to ensure sustainability, continuity and relevance of the organization.”

Goryunova also serves as a Director of International Relations for the Salt Lake Chamber and is one of 10 in the United States Private Sector Liaison Officers to the World Bank Group and IDB. She serves on the board of the District Export Council as a Treasurer, and on a Directive Council of the Italy Utah Cooperation Center (a non-profit volunteer organization). Goryunova begins her role as Interim President and CEO and assumes day-to-day responsibility for the World Trade Center Utah on December 1st, according to the transition plan approved by the Board of Directors. Although Cramer’ tenure as President and CEO has officially ended on November 30, 2013, he continues to be instrumental for the organization in his new appointment as a Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.
